BANGKOK DAY 4

DAY 4 of Bangkok with Hairy boy! Time passed really fast! The plan was to eat Dim Sum at Chinatown then head over to Sampeng Lane to shop, dine at a renowned green seafood restaurant with green uniform waiters, and head to Sapanpoot Market (Memorial Bridge Market)! Took a cab to chinatown as it was rather inaccessible. There were no trains nor buses nearby. :( But it wasn't that expensive lah. :) The Canton House caught our attention first so we decided to have lunch there! Food was pretty awesome but the service was bad because there were too many people! :(

Anyway, we finished out lunch quickly and headed over to Sampeng Lane, with some help of a nice local lady. :) Sampeng Lane wasn't at all what I expected though. It's kinda like a bigger version of arab street? Every shop was either selling cloth, or accessories! Rather disappointing as we allocated half a day to shop there. :( But those ppl who are looking for cheap cloth or wholesale of accessories, sampeng will be a good place to go. :) Changed plans and decided to have an early dinner before adding an additional tourist place to our agenda - Patpong night market! We actually managed to finish shopping at both night markets thoroughly before it closed! Sapanpoot and Patpong markets are really good for the guys. Stuff there are pocket friendly and of good quality. They are really good to go if you're with a group of guys and girls.:)

Patpong is actually a place where all the pubs and bars are. The alcohol there is really dirt cheap. Like $3 for a pint of beer? Hahaha. We didn't dare to drink there because we were afraid they'll spike our drink or smth. (yea we damn kia si, took alot of precautions cause only 2 of us!) Hahaha. Better be safe than sorry right! But I heard it's safe la. :)The Thai girls show was held there too. They claim it's free to watch, but once you sit down, it's considered you opened a table, and of course, you need to pay. So be careful if you are heading there.

Ok pictures finally! :)

The Canton house is situated at the corner of the road.
I forgot exactly where tho, but I think it should be the
beginning part of Chinatown! :)

Terribly gross.

230 Baht = $9.20.Which is only $4.60 each for so much food! :)

Shopped a bit at Sampeng Lane and decided to eat some dessert at MK Restaurant! :D
MK Restaurant is another must try in BKK.
Unfortunately, we had no time and stomach for a real meal in it.
It has many branches and they serve steamboat! :)

I ordered coconut ice cream with sticky rice! :D

Love the dimples and puppy eyes! :D

Hairy boy ordered a normal choco ice cream =.=

After searching for half a day, WE FOUND IT.
We found the green restaurant with the green ppl!
We heard frm hairy boy's brother that it serves good seafood!
I have no idea where is it exactly, but it's called T&K!
Trust me, the food's really good. And cheap too! :)

Cockles for only $3.

Crab was $8!

Prawns at $6!!

Ordered Vege at $4 too. YUMMY!!! :))

Wasn't exactly full, and we were curious to find out what's the difference
between the one we ate in and red restaurant opposite,
So..........
We ate a 2nd dinner there! Hahahaha.

Waiting for food!

Curry Powder crab. Damn awesome!

Hairy ate his prawns and i ate my cockles. :)

The name of this red restaurant is LEK & RUT!
We concluded that the green restaurant is yummier.
Not only that, it's cheaper too!

Headed over to Sapanpoot River Market (aka Memorial Bridge Night Market)
Omg I love this place. Everything is so cheap!
Like pratunam market! But it has alot of guys clothes too!
We took a cab anyway, to save time. I think it's only about 3km away.
And I opens only at night if I'm not wrong.
Yep. So do put aside time for this ok! :D

A temple nearby Sapanpoot!

We were drawn to this food stall by the smell. It smelt damn good!
We don't what was it but it smelt so good
We decided to take a gamble and try it.

AND OMG IT'S AWESOME!! Only $1.20!
I think it's fried squid and fish or smth.
The gravy is damn POWER too!!!
They shld totally bring this to Spore lah!

Decided to take a walk on the bridge halfway through our shopping. Hees.

Some cute boxers we saw on the way. Haha.

And they actually offer braces services?!?!
Like who will dare to get their braces done there! =X

Ok bye Sapanpoot! And off we go to Patpong!

Hi Patpong! :)
Not much pictures as we were busy shopping. Haha.
This place has alot of guys clothes too!
Hairy bought quite a few berms and shirts there!
